Role Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage complex IT infrastructure environments (on-premises, cloud, and hybrid).
- Lead system architecture planning, including compute, storage, networking, and virtualization.
- Ensure system availability, performance, scalability, and security across all environments.
- Manage and optimize cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-prem infrastructure.
- Oversee system monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and infrastructure issues.
- Define and enforce infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Network, and Application teams.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–8+ years of experience in system engineering or infrastructure roles.
- Strong experience with enterprise infrastructure (servers, storage, networking).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience managing Linux and/or Windows server environments.
- Proven experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
- Familiarity with security best practices, compliance, and hardening techniques.
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
