Senior Software Engineer

AION Group International is an AI-powered EdTech and digital learning company working across Europe and Southeast Asia. We build digital products and learning platforms that combine technology, education, and AI to create smarter and more accessible learning experiences.

As we continue to develop and expand our digital products, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our international, remote team.

About the Role: Building, improving, and maintaining AION’s web-based, mobile applications and digital platforms.. The role has a strong focus on backend development, system architecture, APIs, and reliable production applications, while working closely with an international team.

Requirements:

• Professional experience in web application development

• Strong backend development experience

• Ruby / Ruby on Rails experience is highly preferred

• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture

• Experience with PostgreSQL or relational databases

• Good knowledge of Git and software development best practices

• Experience with testing, debugging, and maintaining production applications

• Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned features

• Good English communication skills

• Comfortable working with an international and remote team

• React, Angular, or Vue.js

• AWS / cloud platforms

• Docker and CI/CD

• Third-party API integrations

• Background jobs / asynchronous processing

• AI / LLM integration experience
