Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Project: High-End Wellness & F&B Development
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee project cost control, budget monitoring, and contractor payment verification for our ongoing development project.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify Bill of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and project budgets.
- Monitor project costs, including budget vs. actual spending and cost forecasting.
- Verify contractor progress claims and payment applications based on actual work completed.
- Evaluate Variation Orders (VO), including additional and omitted works.
- Review contractor contracts, quotations, and procurement costs.
- Monitor material procurement, vendor pricing, and potential cost overruns.
- Identify financial risks and provide regular project cost reports to management.
- Prepare final account reconciliation and project cost evaluation.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency and accountability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying or construction cost control.
- Experience in commercial buildings, hospitality, wellness, or high-end development projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ, cost estimation, contractor payment verification, and Variation Orders.
- Able to review technical drawings and independently verify work quantities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and relevant construction software.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
- Comfortable working directly with project owners and coordinating with external contractors.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
