Job description for Senior Network Engineer (Juniper & Mist Wireless) at PT Digital Tech Asia

Role Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber Sr. Network Engineer with a deep specialization in Juniper ecosystems and AI-driven wireless technologies. In this role, you will be the technical lead for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade network infrastructures. This position is ideal for a veteran engineer who thrives in high-availability environments and has a proven track record of managing complex migrations and modern wireless solutions like Juniper Mist.

Key Responsibilities

● Infrastructure Management: Lead the configuration, deployment, and advanced troubleshooting of Juniper MX (Routers), EX (Switches), and SRX (Firewalls).

● Wireless Optimization: Design and manage next-generation wireless solutions, specifically focusing on Juniper Mist AI, including access points, cloud controllers, and WLAN security.

● Network Engineering: Implement and support complex routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, alongside advanced VLAN segmentation.

● Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor network health to ensure 99.9% uptime and peak performance through routine maintenance and audits.

● Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional IT teams to lead infrastructure upgrades and seamless network integrations.

● Documentation & Compliance: Maintain rigorous network diagrams, configuration records, and technical documentation while ensuring all systems meet global security standards.

Technical Requirements

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

● Experience: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in network implementation and operations.

● Vendor Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of Juniper hardware (MX, SRX, EX series).

● Wireless Proficiency: Extensive experience with Juniper Mist Wireless is highly preferred; additional experience with Aruba or Cisco wireless is an advantage.

● Certifications: Active Juniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIP) are strongly preferred.

● Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to lead technical projects independently in a fast-paced environment
