A Senior MHE (Material Handling) Automation Engineer is a highly skilled professional responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex automation systems across various software development processes, often leading teams and providing technical expertise to ensure efficient and reliable automated testing practices within an organization; their key duties include architecting automation frameworks, mentoring junior engineers, troubleshooting automation issues, and optimizing existing automation solutions to improve product quality and delivery speed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Engineering or higher with 4-6 years experienced in MHE (Material Handling) Automation
- Prior experience in managing conveyoring system
- Experienced in handling medium-scale projects
- Expertise in microcontroller device including software development
- Deep understanding of software testing principles
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the complete software development lifecycle
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and mentor junior engineer
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot complex automation issues
Responsibilities
- Architecting robust and scalable automation frameworks using appropriate tools and technologies to support diverse testing needs across the application
- Identifying and resolving complex automation issues, optimizing existing automation scripts for efficiency and stability
- Working closely with continuous improvement teams, and operation teams to understand requirements and integrate automation into the software development lifecycle
- Analyzing automation execution data to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance testing speed and efficiency
- Proactively researching and evaluating emerging material handling automation tools and technologies to stay updated with industry trends
- Leading and mentoring junior automation engineers, providing guidance on best practices and technical decision-making
