A well established Global online retail/wholesale of electronic goods (E-commerce) based company with head office in Melbourne, Australia is seeking a qualified person who is highly motivated, dedicated, hardworking and professional candidates for the following position:
Senior Magento / Web Developer Executive
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years strong experience in Magento development (Magento 2 is essential)
- Proven experience leading Magento development projects and mentoring developers
- Strong knowledge of Magento 2 architecture, module development, theme customization, and best practices
- Excellent skills in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
- Strong experience in Magento API integrations (REST / SOAP) and third-party system integrations
- Experience integrating payment gateways, shipping providers, inventory systems, ERP, CRM and marketing tools
- Deep understanding of Magento performance optimization (Redis, Varnish, ElasticSearch, indexing, caching, CDN)
- Strong knowledge of security practices, patching, upgrades, and maintaining stable production environments
- Experience with Magento multi-store setup and international e-commerce operations is highly preferred
- Experience with Git version control and deployment workflows (CI/CD is an advantage)
- Experience working with Linux server environments (Apache/Nginx) is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in live environments
- Ability to design scalable solutions for large product catalogs and high-traffic websites
- Strong understanding of e-commerce UX, checkout optimization and conversion improvement is a major advantage
- Passion for technology or gadgets (Mobile Phones, Camera, Electronics) is an advantage
- Moderate English skill, i.e. to read and write
- Excellent communication and teamwork skill is required

- Strong leadership skills and ability to take ownership of projects
- The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise important tasks

Brief Job Descriptions :
- Lead the development, maintenance and enhancement of Becextech Magento-based e-commerce websites
- Act as a Technical Lead, managing Magento development tasks and guiding other developers
- Develop custom Magento modules, extensions, and advanced backend functionality based on business needs
- Manage Magento upgrades, patches, and ensure long-term platform stability and security
- Optimize website performance, page speed, server load and scalability for high-traffic e-commerce operations
- Oversee third-party integrations such as payment gateways, shipping systems, inventory management, ERP and CRM
- Improve checkout experience, conversion rate and overall customer journey
- Troubleshoot complex Magento issues, bug fixing, and ensure smooth operation of live websites
- Implement best practices for coding standards, architecture, and documentation
- Coordinate with marketing, SEO, product and management teams to implement new features and improvements
- Provide technical recommendations for improving website structure, performance and automation
- Manage deployment processes, backups, and ensure minimal downtime during updates
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to improve development quality
- Ensure the website is SEO-friendly and support Digital Marketing team for performance improvements
- Stay up-to-date with Magento ecosystem updates, e-commerce trends, and new technologies
