About the Job
We are looking for a dynamic, inquisitive innovation manager to join the most exciting team within the Supernova business! You will be responsible for defining new product vision, creating roadmaps, and driving its execution to award-winning beauty products. You will be in charge of product concept creation and insights for global markets to ensure consumer, competition set and business relevancy.
Responsibilities
- Beauty expert & Innovation Manager responsible for face care, sunscreen, bodycare and self tanning including beauty kits and sampling
- Working hand in hand with Global Innovation Director to develop a winning and effective beauty portfolio strategy and innovation roadmap
- Defining the winning proposition for each new product innovation through clear and strong product briefs and ensure they remain aligned from product creation and ideation
- Responsible for new launch strategy development (target, positioning, product, pricing, channel)
- Provide in-depth consumer and shopper understanding through cost effective, qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Identify any new ingredients/ technologies, which could be transferable in the new product launches to be in the industry forefront
- Market analysis to identify new consumer insights, trends and business opportunities
- Product go-to-market – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan in collaboration with the Product development team
- Keep track on the development and delivery process, ensuring that timelines and milestones are on time
- Create the testing protocol for determining which brands and products show the most potential and to provide insights on the prototyping of new products
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure transparency, buy-in and alignment around priorities and milestones
- Tracking and monitoring of progress of projects and summarize status reports for all stakeholders
Your Profile
- Results orientated: You consistently deliver projects to a high quality and in a timely manner. You are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Data and consumer minded: You are fundamentally consumer orientated and are able to analyse, blend and interpret data from multiple sources. You can plan activities systematically, show strong attention to detail, display thoroughness in analysis and follow-up, and follow through the decision-making process
- A devoted skincare, haircare and beauty innovation aficionado!
- Ambitious: You crave success and we'll support you all the way. That way, we are all on board the winning ship!
- Creative and open: To exciting new ways of doing things! To other people's (sometimes crazy) ideas.
- Minimum 4-5 years professional experience of similar role in the beauty industry
- At least 3 years experience in innovation / global product (mandatory)
- Passionate & in-depth knowledge of the beauty industry
- Strong knowledge of formulations & active ingredients
- Great communicator and strong command of English language
- Strong conceptualisation skills
- Strong organizational skills and structured approach to project management
- Good research skills
- Ability to visualize and present effectively
