ZALI is an authentic Lebanese restaurant in Bali (Uluwatu and Pererenan), born from a 30-year dream and inspired by a grandmother's heartfelt, homegrown recipes. What You Will Contribute:
As the Senior Hostess at ZALI, you will be the first ambassador of our genuine Lebanese hospitality. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and the Front of House team, you will orchestrate the flow of the dining room, ensuring every guest receives a warm, personalized welcome that makes them feel like they are stepping into our home. Your primary focus will be managing reservations, optimizing seating capacity during busy coastal shifts, and leading the hostess team to deliver flawless guest experiences from the moment they arrive until their warm departure.
What You Will Do:
- Warmly welcome, greet, and seat guests, embodying the heartfelt, community-first spirit of ZALI's hospitality.
- Manage the restaurant's reservation system, floor plan, and daily table assignments to maximize seating capacity and ensure a smooth service flow.
- Lead, train, and mentor junior hostesses, maintaining high standards of grooming, guest interaction, and professionalism.
- Efficiently handle waitlists and walk-ins during peak hours and live music events, keeping waiting guests engaged, comfortable, and informed.
- Build strong relationships with regulars and VIPs, anticipating their preferences and ensuring a highly personalized dining experience.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the service and kitchen teams to communicate special guest requests, celebrations, and dietary needs (e.g., vegan/halal).
- Handle guest inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with exceptional charm and accuracy.
- Assist in subtly promoting our traditional "Mouneh" pantry provisions to arriving and departing guests.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Hostess, Guest Relation Officer, or similar F&B role, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluent spoken and written English (additional languages are a plus).
- A naturally warm, welcoming, and charismatic personality that perfectly aligns with ZALI’s family-oriented, Mediterranean hospitality.
- Proficiency in restaurant reservation and table management systems (e.g., Chope, SevenRooms, TableCheck, or experience with standard digital reservation handling).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to remain calm, composed, and smiling in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Impeccable grooming and a professional appearance that represents the brand's high-quality standards.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
