Fas a Fas Bakery & Café is looking for an experienced Senior Cook to join our kitchen team in Ubud, Bali.
This role is suited for someone with a strong foundation in Western cuisine, solid kitchen discipline, and the ability to maintain consistency while working efficiently with the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute menu items according to Fas a Fas recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- Oversee daily mise en place and ensure the kitchen is ready for service
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, presentation, and serving time
- Guide and support junior kitchen team members during preparation and service
- Monitor ingredient quality, stock usage, and food waste
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen organization
- Coordinate closely with the service, purchasing, and other relevant teams
- Support menu trials and improvements under the direction of the Executive Chef
- Assist in maintaining smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in cafés, restaurants, or hospitality establishments
- Previous experience in a senior cook or similar position is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Western cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Able to follow recipes and operational standards consistently
- Good leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Organized, responsible, and able to work calmly under pressure
- Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Currently based in Bali or willing to relocate to Ubud
The Senior Cook will report directly to our Executive Chef.
