Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant to manage client accounts and support junior staff. You will liaise with colleagues and clients in English, so strong written and spoken communication is essential.
Work Arrangement
- On-site at our Malang office (8 hours/day).
- Full-time role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience (outsourcing/shared-services preferred).
- Fluent English (spoken and written) - mandatory.
- Proficient with accounting software (e.g.,
Xero/QuickBooks/MYOB/SAP) and Microsoft Excel. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills; able to manage multiple deadlines.
- Public Accounting Firm experience is a plus.
- Client-service mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts for multiple clients with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management reports.
- Perform GL reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Handle AP/AR processes, including payroll and basic tax computations (where applicable).
- Review financial data, identify variances, and provide practical insights to clients/management.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Supervise and review junior staff work; provide guidance and training.
