Key Responsibilities
- Microsoft 365 Security Implementation
- Implement and configure Microsoft 365 E5 security solutions across enterprise environments.
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Implement and optimize Microsoft Defender solutions, including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Configure Microsoft Purview security and compliance features such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Sensitivity Labels, Retention Policies, and Information Protection.
- Perform security posture assessments using Secure Score and recommend security improvements aligned with Zero Trust principles.
- Security Support & Hypercare
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 support during post-implementation and Hypercare phases.
- Monitor Microsoft Defender portals for security alerts, incidents, and operational issues.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and remediate security incidents across endpoint, identity, email, and data protection services.
- Validate security configurations, policies, and deployment baselines after implementation.
- Support end users and internal stakeholders during solution adoption and stabilization.
- Coordinate escalations with Microsoft Support when required.
- Prepare issue logs, technical documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and handover documentation for operational teams.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in Microsoft 365 Security implementation, administration, or security operations.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, MFA, and Identity Protection.
- Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps).
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, including DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Information Protection, and Compliance solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in Microsoft 365 security environments.
- Good understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM), endpoint security, email security, and information protection.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust, ISO 27001, or NIST security frameworks.
- Experience working in enterprise or managed services environments.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM/SOAR platforms.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation.
- Experience supporting banking, financial services, or other regulated industries.
- Microsoft certifications such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Associate
- Other relevant Microsoft Security or Azure certifications
