Job Profile Summary
The Scrum Master is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for guiding and coaching teams in the use of Scrum / Agile practices.
The primary responsibility of this role is to boost the effectiveness of teams by managing key projects, championing cross team alignment and delivering success and operationalizing underlying processes to make development teams hum effectively.
The Scrum Masters resolves impediments, monitors and has control over the scrum processes and meetings.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
o Fosters a self-organizing and empowered environment that enables teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
o Facilitates and leads Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
o Ensures that teams adhere to the Scrum framework, follows agile best practices, and utilizes appropriate tools and metrics to track progress, identifies bottlenecks, and drives continuous improvement.
o Fosters effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders.
o Acts as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of the project goals, priorities, and timelines.
o Proactively addresses any conflicts or challenges that may hinder team performance and delivery.
o Collaboratively identifies and synchronizes project interdependencies across multiple teams. Facilitates effective resource allocation across the programs.
o Drives the continuous improvement of agile processes, methodologies, and tools across the organization. Identifies and implements process enhancements to optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality of deliverables.
o Encourages innovation to foster a culture of continuous leading and growth.
o Ensures the program benefits remain viable throughout the program, communicating status and date changes and actively manage dependencies.
o Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders and manages these expectations regarding project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
o Collaborates closely with product owners to prioritize backlog items and ensures alignment with business goals.
o Provides regular project status updates and communicates any risks or impediments that may impact project success.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Project Management or related field.
o Relevant certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master preferred.
o Other related certifications and/or training (for example - SAFe DeVos, Implementing SAFe etc.).
Required experience:
o Seasoned Scrum Master experience in an ICT environment, managing software projects and working with software development teams.
o Seasoned experience in Scrum Management.
o Seasoned experience of Agile concepts and principles.
o Seasoned experience as a coach and mentor in agile practices (Scrum, Kanban etc.).
o Seasoned experience with contemporary software development methodologies.
o Seasoned experience with widely successful Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
