Science Teacher (Kimia/Chemistry)

CHIS School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in Chemistry based on the Cambridge/Pearson Edexcel International Curriculum, preparing students for IGCSE and A-Level examinations. The candidate must be fluent in English and capable of fostering an engaging, student-centered learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons in accordance with the Pearson curriculum standards for IGCSE and A-Level.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and modern technologies to support differentiated learning and academic excellence.
• Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records in line with school and examination board expectations.
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including IGCSE and A-Level exams.
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes inquiry and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning, interdisciplinary projects, and school events.
• Participate in school-wide professional development, parent meetings, and extracurricular activities as needed.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in Chemistry education and integrate best practices into the teaching process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field. Teaching qualification/certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
• Familiarity with the Pearson Edexcel curriculum and its assessment standards.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Preferred:

• Experience teaching in a Cambridge or Pearson curriculum school.
• ICT literacy and experience using digital learning platforms.
• Willingness to participate in science-related extracurricular activities or clubs.
