About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and professional School Counselor to provide academic, personal, and career guidance to college students. The ideal candidate will help support students’ overall well-being, foster their personal development, and assist them in achieving academic and career success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, personal, social, and career matters.
• Support students in setting goals, managing stress, and developing life and study skills.
• Identify students in need of additional support and coordinate referrals to appropriate internal or external resources.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and academic staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
• Plan and conduct workshops and seminars on topics such as mental health, time management, and career readiness.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with school policy.
• Support initiatives that promote student engagement, retention, and well-being.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in student counseling or academic advising (experience with college or higher education students is an advantage).
• Strong understanding of student development, emotional well-being, and career guidance principles.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations and staff.
• Familiarity with mental health awareness and referral procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic student record systems.
• Professional certification or registration as a licensed counselor (if applicable) is an added advantage.
