SALES OFFICER
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Meet targets in SVPC (9 Sales Visits and 6 Phone Calls per week) and qualitative targets monitored in Analytics dashboard.
b. Promote CMA CGM Group services and non-maritime products including e-commerce solutions, value-added services (VAS), intermodal logistics, and CEVA Logistics offerings.
c. Identify market opportunities and drive the growth of export, import, and cross-trade business in alignment with company strategies and targets.
d. Update commercial data and customer feedback in NOVA (e.g., Opportunities, Leads, Contacts).
e. Handle daily communication with customers and principals through email, phone calls, and other channels.
g. Prepare and submit visit reports and cargo leads to the immediate supervisor.
h. Ensure rate closures and sales quotations are processed accurately and timely in the system.
i. Build and maintain a professional image and cultivate strong business relationships with clients.
j. Monitor client activities and provide regular status updates and reports.
k. Participate in sales team meetings focused on sales targets, forecasts, and performance reviews.
l. Retain and develop existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new clients (hunting accounts).
m. Identify and engage with key decision-makers within targeted leads to initiate the sales process.
n. Collaborate with the Sales Manager and direct supervisor to develop and execute strategic sales approaches.
o. Work closely with internal CMA CGM departments to ensure compliance with regulations, administrative processes, and system updates.
p. Represent CMA CGM at industry conferences and events to build market intelligence and expand the professional network.
q. Perform any other duties as assigned by the direct superior, as required by the business.
REQUIREMENT :
Male or Female
Age 25 - 40 years old
Minimum 3 years working experience in shipping/forwarding industry
Bachelor’s Degree / University graduated in Marketing, or equivalent, qualified sales achievement
Professional Skills:
a. English fluency
b. Excellent presentation
c. Customer Network coverage in any industry
d. Knowledge shipping / forwarding industry
Personal Qualities:
a. Good presentation and pleasant looking
b. Good interpersonal communication
c. Assertive and tactful
d. Highly motivated, result oriented individual
