Role Description
This is a full-time Sales Engineer role based in Greater Medan with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site client visits and office work with some work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Engineer will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage existing customer relationships, and promote pump and fluid handling solutions that meet client needs. Daily responsibilities include preparing and delivering technical presentations, performing product demonstrations, and supporting customers with technical inquiries and system selection. The role also involves preparing proposals and quotations, coordinating with internal technical and service teams, monitoring projects and orders, and providing after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction. The Sales Engineer will maintain accurate sales reports, market insights, and pipeline data while consistently meeting sales targets and contributing to team goals.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to understand customer requirements and propose appropriate pump solutions.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust, manage expectations, and provide clear guidance to clients and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess solid Sales skills, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing, to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Candidates should ideally have experience in industrial equipment, pumps, or mechanical/electrical engineering environments.
- Candidates should have a diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a hybrid setting in Greater Medan, with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, proficiency with basic office and CRM software, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and working proficiency in English, especially in technical contexts, will be beneficial.
