Room Division Supervisor

Job Summary

We are a new boutique retreat opening in Balian, Bali: a quiet stretch of coast far from the busier side of the island. Built for movement, community and slow living, we host retreat groups, educators and practitioners who come here to practice, gather and reconnect with nature. As Room Division Supervisor, you will lead our Housekeeping, Reception and Garden teams and set the standard for spaces that feel calm, considered and effortlessly cared for. This is a founding-team role, joining us before we open. You will help shape how things are done from the very beginning. Full details about the property are shared with shortlisted candidates.

Job Description

• Supervise the daily operation of the Room Division (Housekeeping, Reception, Garden), ensuring cleanliness, maintenance and guest experience standards are consistently met

• Serve as the operational link between the front-line team and the Operations Manager

• Manage staff shifts and daily scheduling

• Conduct quality control of rooms and common areas

• Resolve guest incidents in coordination with Guest Experience

• Provide basic on-the-job training for team members

• Report operational and staffing metrics to the Operations Manager

Reports to: Operations Manager

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role (Supervisor or Asst. Manager) at a boutique hotel, retreat center or luxury villa

• Knowledge of international housekeeping and front office standards

• Ability to lead a multicultural team

• Conversational English (required, given the international guest profile)

• Basic knowledge of reservation/PMS systems (preferred)
