Job Overview
The Retail Manager (Sports) will oversee the end-to-end retail and merchandise operations ecosystem across multiple commercial and operational functions within a sports and lifestyle business environment. This role is responsible for managing sales channel performance, operational execution, inventory readiness, and cross-functional retail operations to support sustainable business growth, operational excellence, and customer experience across both online and offline channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Retail & Commercial Channel Management
- Oversee overall performance of merchandise sales across eCommerce, wholesale, and alternative sales channels.
- Monitor sales performance, inventory movement, and channel profitability to support business growth.
- Develop and execute commercial initiatives to optimize retail performance and operational efficiency.
2. eCommerce Operations Management
- Manage day-to-day eCommerce operations including product availability, campaign readiness, fulfillment coordination, and customer experience.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support online campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Monitor platform performance, operational KPIs, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
3. Wholesale & Alternative Channel Development
- Manage operational processes and relationships for wholesale, consignment, and other distribution channels.
- Identify opportunities for channel expansion and business growth across external partnerships.
- Ensure service quality and operational alignment with external business partners.
4. Supply Chain, QC & Warehouse Oversight
- Supervise sourcing coordination, inventory planning, warehouse operations, and quality control activities.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, stock readiness, and operational efficiency across merchandise operations.
- Coordinate with vendors and operational teams to maintain product quality and timely delivery.
5. Cross-Functional Retail Operations Coordination
- Collaborate with commercial, marketing, creative, and operational teams to support integrated retail initiatives and campaigns.
- Support operational planning for activations, launches, and special business initiatives.
- Prepare operational and business performance reports for internal stakeholders and management teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in retail operations, commercial operations, eCommerce, area management, or merchandise-related functions.
- Open to candidates from cross-industries backgrounds, including retail, FMCG, lifestyle, fashion, food & beverage, consumer goods, and multi-outlet operations.
- Prior experience as an Area Manager, Retail Operations Manager, Commercial Manager, or similar leadership role is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, sales channel management, inventory movement, and operational coordination.
- Experience overseeing or collaborating with operational support functions such as warehouse, supply chain, sourcing, or quality control is a plus.
- Familiar with business performance monitoring, operational KPI management, and sales performance analysis.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and execution skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.
- Based in Bandung or willing to be based in Bandung.
- Passionate about sports, community culture, and fan engagement; strong familiarity with local sports culture/community is highly preferred.
