RESORT MANAGER – LATITUDE ZERO TELO ISLANDS
Location: Telo Islands, North Sumatra, Indonesia
Position: Full-Time Resort Manager
Latitude Zero is looking for an exceptional Indonesian Resort Manager to lead our remote luxury surf resort in the Telo Islands.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a remote environment, enjoys leading a team, and takes genuine pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Our guests travel from around the world specifically to experience the waves, beauty and relaxed luxury of the Telo Islands. As Resort Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that every aspect of their stay runs seamlessly - from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.
THE ROLE
You will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the resort, working closely with our management team, department heads and surf operations.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and managing the resort team
• Maintaining consistently high standards of guest service and presentation
• Overseeing daily resort operations and coordinating all departments
• Managing guest arrivals, departures and special requests
• Working closely with the surf, boat and marine operations teams
• Staff scheduling, performance management and training
• Monitoring purchasing, stock control and operational costs
• Maintaining resort facilities, equipment and grounds to a high standard
• Managing operational issues calmly and efficiently
• Ensuring health, safety and emergency procedures are followed
• Building strong relationships with guests and creating a genuine sense of hospitality
• Reporting regularly to senior management
• Helping continually improve the resort and the overall guest experience
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is experienced, highly organised, commercially aware and naturally good with people.
You should have:
• Previous experience in a senior hotel, resort or hospitality management position
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
• A high level of attention to detail
• The ability to remain calm and make good decisions under pressure
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing budgets, purchasing and operational costs
• A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service
• A hands-on management style — this is a remote island resort, not an office-based position
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of the operation
• A professional and positive attitude
• Strong computer and administrative skills
Experience in running PMS
Experience in the marine industry preferred
