We are looking for a creative, technically skilled, and detail-oriented Research & Development (R&D) Furniture Specialist to join our team in developing innovative, high-quality furniture products for global markets.
This role is ideal for someone with strong product development experience, deep knowledge of furniture construction and materials, and the ability to bridge design concepts with efficient manufacturing solutions. You will play a key role in transforming ideas into production-ready products while supporting continuous innovation, quality improvement, and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
• Developing new furniture products from concept through production readiness
• Conducting product research, material exploration, and construction development
• Creating prototypes, mock-ups, and technical specifications for new products
• Collaborating with design, drafting, and production teams to ensure manufacturability
• Improving existing products through value engineering and technical optimization
• Preparing technical documentation including drawings, specifications, BOM, and assembly details
• Testing product functionality, durability, and production feasibility
• Coordinating product sampling and prototype evaluation processes
• Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and production implementation
• Ensuring products meet quality standards, cost targets, and production efficiency requirements
Requirements
• Degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Product Design, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in furniture R&D, product development, or furniture engineering
• Strong understanding of furniture construction, joinery systems, materials, and hardware
• Experience in export furniture manufacturing is highly preferred
• Proficiency in CAD and 3D software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Inventor, or Fusion 360
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, prototyping, and production systems
• Experience preparing technical product documentation and production specifications
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple development projects simultaneously
