The Digital Marketing Intern designs and implements programs and marketing initiatives with the goal of driving industry cross-collaboration, fostering ecosystem engagement, and increasing awareness of MedTech Innovator’s Accelerator in Asia Pacific. Reports directly to and works closely with the Program Director to execute MedTech Innovator APAC’s communications, marketing, and outreach strategies.
IMPORTANT -- MUST HAVES that will be assessed
- Graphic Design capability is required, either via Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
- Canva is preferred due to collaborating in a team for graphics.
- Proficient ability to use basic marketing platforms such as Hootsuite, MailChimp.
- Bachelors' in Business or Marketing required (or final year for Internship), Masters'/PhD welcome
- Basic knowledge of Life Sciences or Healthcare Product Design and Engineering for Medical Device and Medical Technology
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to prioritize, self-initiated and self-driven with minimal handholding
- Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to critically think autonomously, and execute tasks independently is a must
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Willingness and ability to adapt to rapidly evolving environments and circumstances, especially during uncertain Covid-19 climate
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office and technical savvy to quickly pick up new software/applications (Zoom, Slack, Streak, Trello, Airtable, G-Suite Tools – Jamboard, Keep, Tasks, other collaborative software for remote teams)
Fun Stuff You'll Do
- Design and generate content and execute on strategies for Brand Management of MTI APAC on social channels, digital streams, funnels.
- Coordinate on logistical and operational requirements for the MTI APAC Accelerator Program, first-contact response to logistical/operational needs of start-ups, program participants, and MTI APAC stakeholders
- Execute marketing mix strategies and take ownership of curating brand awareness across the ecosystem and various marketing channels - developing and implementing social media strategy as well as content curation across the region esp. China
- Assist APAC Program Director on partnerships outreach for regional and local collaborations
This position requires creative problem-solving, superior multitasking and organizational ability, meticulous attention to detail, tech-savviness, and strong oral and written communication skills with working in remote teams. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter with the passion and desire to grow within an exciting entrepreneurial environment with an interest in the exponential medtech and healthcare industry.
