Position Summary
Miss Michelle Learning House is looking for qualified and enthusiastic Reading Teachers to deliver high-quality literacy instruction to young learners. This role involves planning structured reading lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment that supports each child’s academic and language development. The successful candidate must be fluent in English and committed to nurturing a love for reading in children.
Job Description
- Develop lesson plans for Reading classes.
- Deliver teaching materials effectively according to each student’s learning characteristics and needs.
- Monitor and follow up on students’ learning progress.
- Build positive relationships with parents and provide regular and consistent feedback on student progress.
- Contribute to the Center through teaching materials, program initiatives, and collaboration/monitoring with team members.
- Create creative teaching materials and hands-on activities tailored to students’ levels for classroom implementation.
- Be responsible for curriculum program development.
- Demonstrate positive and polite behavior as a role model for students.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and management team to create a harmonious and supportive work environment.
- Actively participate in center activities and contribute to the development of a positive work culture at the branch level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any major (Education or English Literature is preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar field (experience in an international school is a plus).
- Experience teaching reading/phonics for early childhood learners.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience and skills in creating lesson plans.
- Passionate about working with children.
- Able to actualize potential and contribute positively to the company.
- Open to feedback and able to work well in a team.
- Demonstrates excellent attitude and work performance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- High integrity, discipline, and eagerness to learn.
- Willing to work on site in BSD Serpong
