Role Overview
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that all construction and finishing works meet The Company's quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, conducting inspections, identifying defects, and working closely with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to uphold the integrity and excellence of our developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction quality control, materials inspection, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Inspections
● Develop and implement quality control procedures and checklists for construction, materials, and finishes.
● Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and company expectations.
● Identify defects, deviations, or substandard work and work with contractors to implement corrective actions.
● Oversee testing of materials and ensure compliance with structural, mechanical, and safety standards.
● Monitor and inspect workmanship quality throughout different phases of construction, from foundation to finishing.
Process Improvement & Compliance
● Ensure construction activities comply with local building regulations, safety codes, and environmental standards.
● Work with the construction team to enhance building techniques and materials for improved quality and longevity.
● Develop and maintain quality documentation, reports, and audit records.
● Train and educate construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on qualityexpectations and best practices.
Supplier & Materials Control
● Inspect and approve materials, fixtures, and finishes before installation.
● Work closely with the Procurement Manager to select and source high-quality materialsand suppliers.
● Manage quality control testing for concrete, wood, finishes, and other structural elements.
Defect & Issue Resolution
● Identify construction defects, workmanship issues, or non-conformance early in the project lifecycle.
● Work closely with contractors and project managers to develop action plans for defect resolution.
● Conduct final inspections and handover checks before project completion to ensure quality assurance.
● Document and track non-compliance issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Project Coordination & Reporting
● Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to maintain construction quality.
● Provide regular quality reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and corrective measures.
● Attend progress meetings and contribute to discussions on quality improvement strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
● Experience: Minimum 2+ years in construction quality control, site supervision, or project management.
● Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, finishing techniques, and compliance requirements.
● Attention to Detail: Ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and potential risks before they become major issues.
● Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of construction codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
● Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve quality issues efficiently and effectively.
● Communication Skills: Strong ability to liaise with contractors, suppliers, andinternal teams.
● Documentation: Experience in preparing quality reports, audits, and compliance checklists.
