Quality Assurance Supervisor — PT Kapit Mas | Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia (On-site)
About the Role
PT Kapit Mas is a jewelry manufacturing and trading company based in Bali, committed to delivering high-quality products through innovation, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our Research Development & Design Department. This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining Quality Assurance standards throughout the product development process while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure every sample meets customer requirements before moving into production.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain sample acceptance criteria for each project based on customer briefs.
- Review completed samples from the Technical Development team before submission to customers or production.
- Develop and document written Quality Assurance Standards, as the current standards are still applied informally.
- Record and monitor every sample rejection, including quantity, rejection reason, and originating work center.
- Coordinate with the Technical Development Supervisor to identify root causes of recurring defects.
- Prepare periodic Quality Assurance reports, including rejection rate, pass rate, and defect patterns for the R&D Manager.
- Develop Quality Standards and Acceptance Criteria for each project category, starting with high-volume projects.
- Collaborate with the QC Division to identify production defect patterns that can be traced back to the sample development or design process.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Metallurgy, Product Design, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience as a QA or QC in the jewelry, fashion, or related manufacturing industry.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and design briefs.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance standards, sample acceptance criteria, and QA documentation, including rejection logs, defect reports, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
- Able to perform Root Cause Analysis; familiarity with 5 Why and Fishbone Diagram is an advantage.
- Good understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, including casting, finishing, and related production processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets, or digital reporting systems; ERP or production monitoring system experience is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, structured, analytical, communicative, and confident in expressing ideas.
