QC MANAGER
Job Description
• Lead QC activities to ensure coal quality meets company and customer specifications.
• Manage coal sampling, sample preparation, laboratory testing, and quality analysis.
• Monitor coal quality throughout mining, stockpiling, blending, and loading processes.
• Review test results and manage quality deviations, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Ensure laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and QC systems meet ASTM/ISO and company standards.
• Manage and develop the QC & Laboratory team, including competency and performance.
• Coordinate with Mining, Processing, Marketing, Commercial, laboratories, and surveyors on coal quality matters.
• Prepare quality reports and drive continuous improvement in coal quality and testing accuracy.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Metallurgy or related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in coal quality, laboratory, or mining, with managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of coal quality parameters, sampling, sample preparation, and laboratory testing
• Familiar with ASTM, ISO, and applicable coal quality standards.
• Experienced in managing QC/Laboratory teams and quality investigations.
• Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Relevant coal quality/laboratory certification is an advantage.
