Job description for QA/Testing Engineer - Web and Mobile at Rida
- 2-week sprints
- Weekly release cycle
- Scrum methodology
- Collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence
- Code reviews
- PRDs (prepared and signed off by the Product team before any development)
- Frontend: VueJS, Apollo
- Backend: Node.js
- Querying and Database: GQL, Postgres
- Cloud: AWS, GCP
- Deployment: CI/CD using CircleCI
- Microservices
- Creating test plans and strategy, test cases in partnership with developers and product managers
- Using the best tool for the task—from test automation to manual testing tools
- Test planning, test automation, test environment setup/teardown
- Exploratory and manual testing, defect logging, and verification
- Implementation and execution of functional, regression, and acceptance tests
- Working with various team members in resolving bugs and issues identified during testing
- Adjusting test strategy to account for new information, changing risks, shifting priorities, and schedules
- Setting the overall direction for quality assurance within the organization
- At least 4 years of overall experience in testing mobile and web apps, services, APIs, and user interfaces
- Experience in test automation and creating repeatable, maintainable, automated test suites
- Familiarity with various defect management systems
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance best practices & methodologies
- Understanding of test-driven development
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall processes
- Working experience in a startup
