QA/QC Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
2. Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
3. Review customer specifications, purchase orders, technical specifications, drawings, datasheets, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Quality Control Plans (QCP), and applicable codes and standards prior to and during manufacturing.
4. Monitor and analyses quality performance, including product rejection, rework, NCR, customer complaints, supplier quality performance, and other quality KPIs to support continual improvement.
5. Ensure compliance with applicable valve manufacturing standards and customer requirements, including API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, MSS and other applicable international standards.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent from a reputable university.

· Minimum 2 – 5 years in QA/QC Engineer within the Manufacturing, Contractor or related sectors.

· Familiar with applicable valve and oil & gas industry standards such as: API Specification Q1, API 6D, API 598, ASME B16.34, ASME B16.10, Applicable ASTM material specifications, ASME BPVC Section V and Section IX where applicable, ISO 9001, API 607 / API 6FA where applicable, API 641 / ISO 15848 where applicable, Customer-specific specifications and requirements.

· Good knowledge of material identification, Material Test Certificates (MTC/MTR), heat-number traceability, machining inspection, dimensional inspection, valve assembly, valve pressure testing, NDE, welding, and coating inspection.

· Familiar with quality tools and methodologies including NCR, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Action, risk assessment, and continual improvement.

· Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

· Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts.

· Proven teamwork and project management capabilities.
