QA Automation Engineer (WFH - 3 Months Contract)

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to build, maintain, and improve automated testing across web, mobile, and API-based products.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in automation testing, test strategy, scripting, and modern AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

1. • Develop and maintain automation scripts for web, mobile, and API testing
2. • Build automation suites using Playwright and Maestro
3. • Generate test reports using Allure Report
4. • Convert manual test cases into reusable and reliable automated tests
5. • Integrate automation testing into CI/CD pipelines
6. • Investigate test failures, flaky tests, and root causes with developers
7. • Support smoke, sanity, regression, and release validation testing
8. • Define and track automation coverage for critical user flows
9. • Use AI tools for scripting, debugging, refactoring, test generation, and documentation

Main Requirements

1. • 2–4 years of experience in QA Automation or Software Testing
2. • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
3. • Experience with Maestro and Allure Report
4. • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or another relevant scripting language
5. • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API
6. • Good understanding of QA methodology, test design, defect lifecycle, selectors, DOM, wait strategies, and test isolation
7. • Familiarity with Git, code review, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
8. • Ability to debug failures across scripts, test data, environments, and application issues
9. • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

AI Capability Requirements

1. Candidates should be able to use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to:
2. • Generate Playwright and Maestro scripts from test cases or PRDs
3. • Refactor and debug automation scripts
4. • Generate test data, edge cases, negative scenarios, and regression coverage
5. • Create test documentation and release reports
6. • Review and validate AI-generated code before implementation

Nice to Have

1. • Experience with k6, JMeter, visual regression, or accessibility testing
2. • Mobile testing using real devices or emulators
3. • Experience testing ERP, POS, SaaS, fintech, payment, logistics, or mobile products
4. • Familiarity with TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, or Qase

Note: The selected candidate is expected to remain fully focused on this single project throughout the three-month contract period. Freelance or part-time arrangements are not applicable, and dual employment is strongly discouraged.
