Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks using Playwright.
- Create and execute automated test cases for new features and regression testing.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to understand requirements and ensure quality.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports.
- Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in Automation Testing.
- Have experience in Shipping Industry.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Playwright automation framework (JavaScript or TypeScript).
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience in automating:
- Web UI Testing
- Cross-browser testing (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)
- Regression testing
- Smoke and Sanity testing
- Experience with API testing using Postman, Playwright API, or REST Assured.
- Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
- Familiarity with SQL for database validation.
- Experience using Git for source code version control.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI).
- Knowledge of test reporting tools such as Allure Report or Playwright HTML Report.
