About the role
PT Abimanyu Sekar Nusantara is seeking a Purchasing Staff to join our procurement team in Purwakarta, Jawa Barat. This is a contract position that plays a vital role in our manufacturing. As Purchasing Staff, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services that support our operational excellence. This position is fundamental to maintaining our supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness across all business units.
Key responsibilities
- Processing purchase requisitions and converting them into purchase orders for suppliers
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery time and reliability criteria
- Negotiating prices, terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value for the company
- Maintaining accurate and organised purchasing records, documentation and supplier files
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with warehouse and production teams to ensure adequate stock availability
- Tracking delivery schedules and following up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials
- Inspecting incoming goods for quality and quantity compliance against purchase orders
- Communicating with internal departments to understand procurement needs and requirements
- Preparing purchasing reports and analysing procurement metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Supporting the resolution of supply chain issues and discrepancies with suppliers
What we're looking for
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory management roles
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build strong supplier relationships
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems or procurement software is advantageous
- Basic understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations
- Fluency in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
