Purchasing Internship

Job Description

1. Manage assigned suppliers and maintain strong, professional supplier relationships.
2. Prepare monthly demand forecasts and purchasing plans based on sales history, inventory levels, and business needs.
3. Create, process, and monitor Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO).
4. Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing overstock.
5. Analyze sales trends and inventory movement to support purchasing decisions.
6. Handle urgent (on-demand) purchasing requests and follow up on supplier delivery schedules.
7. Verify supplier invoices and coordinate payment requests before due dates.
8. Evaluate supplier performance based on pricing, quality, lead time, and service.
9. Source and develop new suppliers to improve cost efficiency and supply reliability.
10. Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare periodic purchasing reports.
11. Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse, Service Advisors, and other departments to support daily operations.
12. Perform other purchasing and supply chain-related tasks assigned by the Purchasing Supervisor.

Qualifications

1. Minimum Diploma (D3) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
2. Minimum internship experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, or a related role
3. Experience in the automotive industry (spare parts, tires, or aftermarket products) is preferred.
4. Good understanding of purchasing processes, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
6. Familiarity with ERP systems (especially Accurate) is a plus.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Good communication and negotiation skills.
9. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
10. Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is an advantage
