Purchasing Executive

Responsible for overseeing the purchasing of raw materials and supplies procured by the company, ensuring budgets are kept under control, and ensuring that all necessary protocols and guidelines are followed. Also selects vendors, sets budgetary constraints for the purchasing department, and responsible for negotiating pricing on behalf of the company and overseeing the negotiation of contracts.

Roles & responsibilities:

1. Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies for cost optimization and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
2. Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards.
3. Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, payment terms, and mutually beneficial agreements.
4. Negotiate on behalf of the company and maintain good relationships with vendors.
5. Conducting market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing fluctuations.
6. Monitoring inventory levels, analyzing demand patterns, and implementing inventory management strategies to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or excesses.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, accounting, economics, or a related field.
2. Having 3+ years of experience in purchasing area, preferably in the retail industry
3. In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategies, and best practices.
4. Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimization, and negotiation techniques.
5. Knowledge of vendor management and inventory management systems.
6. An analytical mind with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
