Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to work with strategic initiatives within government and/or institution. The ideal candidate will excel in structured environments, demonstrating mastery of workflows and procedures while possessing exceptional communication skills for high-level stakeholder engagement. This role requires a professional who can navigate complex bureaucratic landscapes, advocate for project needs, and drive outcomes through both formal channels and strategic influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines following established procedures
- Develop comprehensive project documentation, including charters, work plans, and procedural guides aligned with institutional standards
- Implement and monitor workflows, ensuring all processes comply with policies and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution
- Track project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership, executives, and external high-ranking officials
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise briefings, reports, and presentations tailored to executive audiences
- Professionally lobby for project resources, approvals, and institutional buy-in at all organizational levels
- Facilitate high-stakes meetings with diplomacy, ensuring productive outcomes and maintained relationships
- Navigate institutional politics with discretion and professionalism
- Maintain rigorous adherence to all institutional protocols, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within institutional constraints
- Develop and implement procedural documentation and training materials
- Ensure all project activities align with institutional strategic objectives and values
- Oversee commodity supply projects from sourcing to delivery (contracting, logistics, quality control, payment terms)
- Monitor, measure, and modify current processes to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commodities, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in institutional, governmental, or complex organizational environments
- Proven expertise in institutional workflows, bureaucratic procedures, and governance structures
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate, and lobby effectively with C-level executives, senior officials, and high-ranking stakeholders
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messages to different audiences and hierarchy levels
- Strong political acumen and emotional intelligence in professional settings
- Proficiency with project management software and institutional reporting systems
- Willingness to travel to ports, farms, mines, or client sites as needed
- English is a MUST, knowing other foreign languages is a plus
