Production Supervisor
Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on and results-oriented Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations, ensure production targets are achieved, and maintain product quality, operational efficiency, and workplace safety. This role will also support the preparation and implementation of new product launches, particularly instant seasoning products, by ensuring production processes, manpower, equipment, and operational standards are ready for scale-up and commercial production.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure production plans, output targets, and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Monitor production output, productivity, product quality, material utilization, and production costs to minimize waste and operational losses.
- Support the preparation and execution of new product launches, particularly instant seasoning products, including production trials, process readiness, and initial production runs.
- Coordinate with R&D/Product Development, QA/QC, PPIC, Warehouse, and other related departments to ensure new products can be manufactured according to approved specifications and production requirements.
- Ensure production processes comply with established SOPs, product specifications, quality standards, food safety requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
- Manage workforce allocation, shift arrangements, attendance, and team discipline to ensure effective manpower utilization.
- Monitor production performance and identify bottlenecks, downtime, quality issues, and process deviations; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain production reports covering output, productivity, downtime, rejection, material consumption, and production efficiency.
- Ensure production equipment, work areas, and facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate production team members to improve performance, discipline, and operational capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, optimize production costs, and strengthen process consistency.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree (S1) in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Experience in food manufacturing, particularly seasoning, spices, powdered food products, or instant seasoning, is highly preferred.
- Understanding of production processes, production planning, quality control, food safety, and manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, 5S, and other relevant food safety and quality management practices is an advantage.
- Experience supporting new product trials, production scale-up, or new product launches is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to analyze production data, prepare reports, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Target-oriented, disciplined, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willing to be placed at the company's production facility in Gunung Sindur, Bogor.
