Production Operator – Furnace Section
Location: Gresik, East Java, Indonesia
About the Position
PT Indo Copper Refining is looking for experienced, disciplined, and safety-focused individuals to join our production team as Furnace Operators. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating and monitoring furnace operations in copper recycling and refining processes, ensuring safe operation, stable production performance, and product quality.
Selected candidates may undergo technical training at our headquarter company's manufacturing facility in Vietnam to learn our production process, equipment operation, and quality standards before working permanently at our factory in Gresik.
This position requires individuals who are comfortable working in a high-temperature industrial environment and have experience in furnace operations, metal processing, foundry, smelting, or other heavy industries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Participate in technical training programs related to furnace operation and copper recycling processes.
2. Operate and monitor furnace equipment according to company procedures and safety standards.
3. Perform furnace preparation, start-up, operation, and shutdown activities.
4. Monitor furnace temperature, operating conditions, and production parameters.
5. Support copper scrap charging, melting, and material handling processes.
6. Inspect and prepare raw materials before feeding into the furnace.
7. Assist in molten metal handling and ensure proper operation during production activities.
8. Perform basic equipment checks and report any abnormal conditions, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
9. Maintain a clean and safe furnace working area, including proper handling and storage of tools, materials, and equipment.
10. Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
11. Work closely with production team members to achieve daily production targets.
Requirements
1. Male, 22–35 years old preferred.
2. Minimum education: SMA / SMK or equivalent.
3. Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in furnace, foundry, smelter, casting, metal processing, recycling, or heavy industry.
4. Experience operating or assisting furnace operations is highly preferred.
5. Physically fit and able to work in a high-temperature industrial environment.
6. Able to work safely around molten metal, hot materials, and heavy equipment.
7. Good understanding of workplace safety and hazard prevention.
8. Good eyesight and attention to detail.
9. Honest, disciplined, responsible, and able to follow instructions.
10. Able to work in shifts when required.
11. Willing to learn company production processes and technical standards.
12. Willing to work permanently in Gresik, East Java.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with induction furnace, melting furnace, rotary furnace, or similar equipment.
2. Experience handling metal melting processes and hot materials.
3. Basic understanding of furnace temperature control and operating procedures.
4. Experience in copper, aluminum, steel, foundry, or recycling industries.
5. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
6. Able to remain calm and follow procedures in high-pressure working conditions.
7. Long-term commitment and willingness to grow with the company.
