About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee the entire garment manufacturing process, from cutting and sewing to finishing and packing. This role is responsible for ensuring production targets, quality standards, operational efficiency, and on-time delivery are consistently achieved while maintaining a safe and productive working environment.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership capabilities, extensive garment manufacturing experience, and a proven track record in managing large-scale production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily production activities across Cutting, Sewing, and Finishing departments.
- Ensure production output meets delivery schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets.
- Monitor line performance, productivity, and production efficiency while implementing corrective actions when required.
- Coordinate closely with PPIC, Industrial Engineering (IE), Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, operational issues, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company policies, and 5S practices throughout the production floor.
- Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and key production personnel to strengthen team capability and performance.
- Prepare and present production performance reports, including output, efficiency, utilization, and quality metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial production role.
- Strong understanding of garment production processes, including Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, and Packing operations.
- Solid knowledge of line balancing, SAM analysis, productivity improvement, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and workplace safety standards.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in export-oriented garment manufacturing environments will be highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and manufacturing ERP systems.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
