About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pricing Export Import Forwarding professional to join our team on a full-time basis in South Tangerang, Banten. This is a strategic position within our freight and cargo forwarding operations, responsible for developing, managing, and optimising pricing structures for export and import services. As Pricing Export Import Forwarding specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our competitive market position whilst maintaining healthy profit margins and delivering value to our clients. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of international logistics pricing models.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive pricing models for export and import forwarding services, considering operational costs, market demand, and competitor analysis
- Prepare detailed quotations and cost estimates for clients based on shipping routes, cargo specifications, and service requirements
- Analyse freight rates from various carriers and negotiate optimal pricing to maximise margins without compromising service quality
- Monitor and evaluate pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness whilst maintaining profitability targets
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align pricing with market conditions and business objectives
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and opportunities within the freight forwarding industry
- Manage pricing documentation and maintain accurate records of all quotations, rates, and agreements
- Review and update pricing structures regularly to reflect changes in operational costs, fuel surcharges, and regulatory requirements
- Provide pricing analysis and recommendations to support business development initiatives and client negotiations
- Ensure compliance with international freight regulations and customs requirements in all pricing calculations
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in freight and cargo forwarding pricing, with at least 1-2 years of demonstrated expertise in export and import operations
- Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, including ocean freight, air freight, and land transport pricing models
- Proficiency in cost analysis, financial modelling, and margin management within logistics operations
- Excellent understanding of customs regulations, Incoterms, and international trade documentation
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with logistics management software or pricing platforms
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with carriers, clients, and internal teams
- Excellent communication skills in English and Indonesian, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of freight forwarding systems and familiarity with industry-standard tools is highly advantageous
- Professional certification or qualifications in logistics, freight forwarding, or international trade is preferred
