About the Role
We are seeking a highly detailed, analytical, and proactive AV Presales Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will serve as the technical backbone of our sales and engineering operations, translating complex client needs into cutting-edge, reliable technology solutions. You will be responsible for creating precise Audio-Visual schematics, compiling comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM), and designing winning technical proposals. This position is ideal for experienced AV System Designers as well as ambitious Fresh Graduates who possess a strong technical aptitude and a patient, fast-working mindset.
Key Responsibilities
• System Evaluation & Design: Provide technical expertise to assess client requirements and assist in the strategic design, recommendation, and evaluation of comprehensive AV setups.
• Schematic Engineering: Design complete A/V engineering packages, creating functional connection-level drawings, including A/V control, video, audio, and networking schematics.
• Material & Proposal Generation: Formulate highly accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and develop thorough, competitive technical A/V proposals for prospective projects.
• Client Demonstrations: Organize, prepare, and execute engaging live demonstrations of proposed technical solutions to showcase value to clients.
• Collaboration & Review: Collaborate actively with internal execution teams, coordinating the design review and modification processes alongside Project Managers, Sales teams, and clients.
• Consultation & Meetings: Participate in project consultation meetings with customers and representatives to align engineering designs with client expectations.
• Technical Site Surveys: Conduct physical site surveys, field evaluations, and attend technical site coordination meetings as needed.
• Project Turnover & Support: Support the smooth turnover of completed installations to clients, actively assisting in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and client operational training.
• Technical Excellence: Stay continually abreast of the latest hardware, emerging trends, and digital transformations in the global AV industry.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: At least 2 years of proven experience working in the AV industry as a System Designer is highly preferred. Motivated Fresh Graduates with relevant technical backgrounds are also strongly encouraged to apply.
• Software Proficiency: Solid knowledge and hands-on operational experience with AutoCAD software for drafting technical drawings.
• Manufacturer Knowledge: Design familiarity or product knowledge across major hardware manufacturers, including Crestron, Extron, AMX, Polycom, Biamp, Clearone, QSC, and Cisco.
• Industry Certifications: Possessing recognized industry certifications (such as AVIXA's Certified Technology Specialist - CTS) will be considered a distinct advantage.
