JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior PR Consultant to support communications programmes for clients in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia. This role combines day-to-day client management, media relations, campaign execution, content development, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can balance multiple priorities and turn client objectives into impactful PR activities.
In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Consultant and Indonesia Country Lead, with guidance and support from the wider team as you take on the following responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day client communications across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
- Assist in planning and executing PR campaigns, media outreach, and product launches.
- Develop PR materials, including press releases, media pitches, and briefing documents in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Build relationships with journalists and media contacts to support media outreach activities.
- Assist with media interviews, briefings, events, and other PR activities.
- Use Aekho, our AI-powered platform, to support media monitoring, campaign tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including our Singapore and Malaysia colleagues, on regional PR campaigns.
- Explore industry trends, competitor activities, and media opportunities with the support of our AI-powered tools.
- Keep media lists, campaign trackers, and client documentation organised and up to date.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–3 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Good command of written and spoken English is essential, along with strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Previous experience in PR campaigns, media relations, or communications activities.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media.
- Good writing, research, and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in journalism, newsrooms, or editorial content production, and/or agency experience is a plus.
