PostgreSQL Database Administrator
Responsibilities
- Develop, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production environments.
- Monitor database health, identify issues, and perform troubleshooting.
- Perform database backup, recovery, migration, replication, and switchover/failover activities.
- Optimize database performance through monitoring, query tuning, and configuration tuning.
- Ensure database availability, integrity, and security.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related issues.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma (D3) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Proficient in SQL.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration (mandatory).
- Good understanding of backup & recovery, replication, performance tuning, and database security.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience with Apache Airflow.
- Basic knowledge of Oracle Database.
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.).
- Experience with HA solutions such as Patroni, Pgpool-II, or HAProxy.
