About the role

Taman Rama School, part of the Taman Mahatma Gandhi Foundation, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse (Perawat) to join our healthcare team in Denpasar, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining and promoting the health and wellbeing of our school community. As our Nurse, you will be responsible for providing professional healthcare services, health education, and preventative care to students, staff, and visitors within our school environment. This position is integral to creating a safe and healthy learning environment where our community can thrive.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct healthcare services and first aid treatment to students, staff, and visitors within the school setting
  • Conduct health assessments and maintain accurate health records for all school community members
  • Administer medications and manage health conditions in accordance with medical protocols and parental consent
  • Develop and deliver health education programmes and wellness initiatives to students and staff
  • Create and maintain a safe, hygienic healthcare facility within the school
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external healthcare providers to support student health needs
  • Monitor and report on communicable diseases and health concerns within the school community
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including immunisation requirements and health screening protocols
  • Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when necessary
  • Conduct health screening programmes, including vision, hearing, and nutritional assessments
  • Provide counselling and support to students regarding health and wellbeing matters
  • Document and maintain confidentiality of all health information in accordance with applicable regulations

What we're looking for

  • A valid nursing qualification and current registration with the appropriate nursing regulatory body in Indonesia
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in nursing, preferably in a school or community health setting
  • Strong knowledge of paediatric health and child development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff
  • Proficiency in health assessment, vital sign monitoring, and basic medical procedures
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and infection control practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond calmly to health emergencies
  • Fluency in Indonesian and English; additional languages are advantageous
  • Current certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
  • A compassionate, patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery
  • Organisational skills and the ability to maintain detailed and accurate health records
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with health and safety best practices
