Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Business Teacher

Role Description:

The Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Business Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, responsible for delivering high-quality Business lessons aligned with the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE curriculum.

Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and preparing lessons, creating engaging learning materials, and using a variety of teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles. The teacher will assess student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records of achievement.

The role includes collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, participating in staff meetings and professional development activities, and communicating effectively with students, parents, and guardians. The teacher is also expected to promote academic integrity, support students’ personal and career development, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.

Qualifications:

Strong subject matter expertise in Business and Economics, with a solid understanding of the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Business curriculum.

Proficiency in lesson planning, including designing structured, learner-centered lessons and assessments.

Excellent communication skills for clear instruction, student guidance, and collaboration with colleagues and families.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; teaching certification or formal teaching qualification is highly preferred.

Experience teaching IGCSE or other international curricula, ideally within a multicultural classroom environment.

Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.

Strong classroom management, mentoring, and student support skills, with a commitment to inclusive and equitable education practices.

Fluency in English, both spoken and written; additional language skills are an advantage.
