Job Descriptions :
1. Grading
- Receive and review approved patterns, ensuring pattern information is complete before starting the grading process.
- Study size specifications, measurement charts, and grading rules prior to creating graded patterns.
- Determine and apply grading points on each pattern piece using the company's CAD system.
- Ensure grading results comply with size specifications, grading rules, and pattern construction.
- Ensure grainlines, notches, drill holes, balance marks, seam allowances, and pattern information remain accurate across all sizes.
- Check and correct grading results before use for marker-making or production.
- Maintain and archive pattern and grading files according to company system.
2. Marker Making
- Receive finalized and approved patterns for marker-making, ensuring all required pattern pieces are available and correct per size.
- Check fabric width and fabric specifications before creating markers.
- Determine marker ratio based on production requirements.
- Create markers based on order quantity, size ratio, fabric width, grainline, fabric direction, and fabric type (one-way/two-way).
- Arrange pattern pieces optimally to achieve maximum fabric utilization/marker efficiency.
- Ensure all required pattern pieces are included in the marker according to the ratio.
- Ensure no patterns are overlapping, flipped, misaligned, wrong size, or missing.
- Calculate and record marker consumption or create mini markers.
- Perform final marker checks before releasing to the Cutting department.
- Revise markers when there are changes to pattern, fabric width, ratio, or order quantity.
- Submit final markers to Cutting/Production according to procedure and archive markers by style and order.
Requirements :
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in pattern grading and marker making (adjust as needed).
- Proficient in CAD pattern systems (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, Richpeace — adjust to company's software).
- Strong understanding of size specifications, grading rules, and fabric utilization.
- Detail-oriented, comfortable working with technical pattern details, and able to work to production targets.
