We are currently hiring a Patch Management Engineer / Server Administrator on behalf of our client, to manage server patching activities, maintain system security, and ensure the stability of infrastructure environments across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end patch management activities for servers, including planning, scheduling, testing, deployment, and post-implementation monitoring.
- Perform regular patching for Windows Server and Linux environments (including RHEL) to ensure systems remain secure and up to date.
- Monitor server performance, availability, and health after patch implementation.
- Troubleshoot patching issues, failed deployments, and system-related incidents.
- Support vulnerability remediation by applying security patches based on risk priority and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and administer server operating systems, including user access, services, storage, and basic configuration.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams during maintenance and change activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, patching reports, change requests, and audit evidence.
- Ensure patching activities are executed in accordance with internal policies, security standards, and change management procedures.
- Support containerized environments and assist in Kubernetes administration when required.
- Participate in on-call support or shift schedules for production maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Server Administration, Infrastructure Operations, or Patch Management.
- Hands-on experience in server patching for Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Good understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes / container platform administration is a plus.
- Experience with patch management tools such as BigFix, Ivanti, SCCM, WSUS, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of server troubleshooting, OS hardening, and vulnerability management.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking basics, and security best practices.
- Experience working in banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments is a plus.
- Willing to work in shifts / standby schedule if needed.
- Good communication skills and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to work in a 24/7 shift arrangement.
