A F&B business in Canggu is looking for a Pastry Chef (Full time)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare pastry recipes, crêpes, waffles, and other dessert menu items
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, quality, and portioning across all products
- Train, guide, and supervise baristas and shop staff in basic food and pastry preparation
- Demonstrate proper preparation techniques and maintain consistent product standards
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety
- Monitor ingredient inventory and ensure sufficient stock for daily operations
- Coordinate ingredient and supply orders with suppliers or management
- Minimize food waste through proper preparation, storage, and inventory management
- Support the team during busy periods and ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Contribute ideas for new pastry and dessert products when required
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in pastry, bakery, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and recipe development
- Experience with crêpes, waffles, pastries, or dessert preparation is an advantage
- Ability to train, mentor, and supervise junior staff
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, clean, well-presented, punctual, and motivated
- Organized, detail-oriented, and creative
- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a small team
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and peak hours
