Part-Time English Teacher

Jogja English Training Centre (JETC) is looking for enthusiastic and qualified Part-Time English Teachers to join our teaching team.

We are looking for teachers who are passionate about English language education and comfortable working with Kids, Teens, and Adult learners. This opportunity is suitable for teachers who are looking for either regular teaching assignments or substitute teaching opportunities.

At JETC, our teachers work with structured learning programs and materials designed to support learners' English development across different ages and proficiency levels.

Responsibilities

As a Part-Time English Teacher, you will be responsible for:

1. Delivering engaging and effective English lessons for Kids, Teens, and/or Adult learners.
2. Following the provided curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
3. Adapting teaching strategies to students' age, proficiency level, learning needs, and classroom dynamics.
4. Creating a positive, supportive, and communicative learning environment.
5. Monitoring and assessing students' learning progress.
6. Providing constructive feedback to students.
7. Completing required teaching and administrative documentation, including student progress reports.
8. Participating in teacher meetings, training, observations, and professional development activities when required.
9. Taking substitute classes when needed and available.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A strong command of spoken and written English.
• A minimum English proficiency of CEFR B2 or equivalent.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in English Education, English Literature, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Teaching experience, preferably in an English language course, school, or similar educational setting.
• Experience teaching Kids, Teens, and/or Adult learners is highly valued.
• Good classroom management and student engagement skills.
• The ability to adapt teaching approaches to different ages and proficiency levels.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• A professional attitude, reliability, and commitment to students' learning progress.
• Relevant teaching certifications such as CELTA, TKT, TESOL, TEFL, or other recognized qualifications are an advantage.
