Operator Excavator 6ton

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Excavator Operator to operate a 20-ton excavator safely and efficiently for construction, earthmoving, or site preparation projects. The ideal candidate must have strong technical operating skills, a safety-first mindset, and experience working in field or heavy equipment environments.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a 6-ton excavator to perform excavation, digging, trenching, loading, and grading work.

Carry out site preparation activities according to project plans and supervisor instructions.

Ensure safe handling of equipment at all times to avoid damage, accidents, or delays.

Conduct daily inspection of the excavator (fluids, hydraulics, tracks, and safety systems).

Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical issues immediately.

Follow all safety regulations and company operating procedures.

Coordinate with site supervisors, surveyors, and other heavy equipment operators.

Maintain cleanliness and proper care of the assigned machine.

Ensure efficient fuel usage and operational productivity.

Assist in other site-related tasks when the machine is not in operation.

Requirements

Proven experience operating a 6-ton excavator (minimum 2–3 years preferred).

Valid heavy equipment operator certification/license (if applicable in your region).

Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures.

Ability to read basic site instructions or excavation plans is a plus.

Physically fit and able to work in outdoor and challenging environments.

Responsible, disciplined, and able to work in a team.

Willing to work extended hours or shift work if required.

Preferred Skills

Experience in construction, mining, or infrastructure projects.

Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Good communication with site team and supervisors.
