Deskripsi pekerjaan Operational Manager Walker Solutions
Job Description
About the Role:
We are launching Magniva, a Singapore heritage ice cream push cart concept, in Indonesia. We combine a modern EV gerobak model with a scalable MSME/franchise system.
We are seeking a highly resourceful, hands-on Operations Manager with prior gerobak / street food operations experience to lead our market entry and rollout within 3 months. This role is critical — you will be responsible for building operations from ground up, not just managing.
Responsibilities:
1. Market Entry & Setup (First 3 Months – Critical Phase)
Identify and secure gerobak/cart manufacturers (EV + traditional), cold chain & dry ice suppliers, as well as bread, wafer, and packaging suppliers.
Source and set up the distribution center/warehouse and cold storage facilities.
Lead vendor negotiations, contract structuring, and cost optimization across the supply chain.
Work closely with HQ on product localization and operational SOP rollout.
2. Gerobak (Push Cart) Operations
Design and optimize daily cart operations workflow.
Recruit, train, and manage cart operators (riders) and supervisors/ground teams.
Set up route planning, deployment strategies, and inventory replenishment systems.
Ensure consistency in product quality, service, and strong unit economics per cart across both Direct Sales and Partnership/MSME Models.
3. Location & Revenue Optimisation
Identify high-performing locations such as industrial parks, malls, transport hubs, and events.
Negotiate placement agreements with landlords and developers.
Run pilot tests and optimize sales per cart and footfall conversion.
4. Supply Chain, Franchise, & Performance Management
Manage inventory planning aligned with MOQ imports and last-mile distribution while ensuring minimal wastage and cold chain integrity.
Support the onboarding of local partners/entrepreneurs, implement training programs, and monitor franchise performance.
Track key KPIs (daily servings, gross margin, net profit per cart, payback period) to ensure targets are met (benchmark: ~150 servings/day).
Requirements:
Must-Have (Kualifikasi Wajib):
3–6 years of experience in gerobak, street food, or mobile F&B operations.
Proven experience in letting up operations from scratch and managing distributed frontline/field teams.
Strong vendor sourcing and negotiation skills.
Deep understanding of the Indonesian F&B ecosystem and informal retail/street vendor landscape.
Highly Preferred (Nilai Plus):
Experience with franchise/MSME models or multi-location operations.
Experience in cold chain or FMCG distribution.
Existing network of suppliers, landlords, and vendors.
Key Traits:
Extremely hands-on (not corporate-only) and solution-oriented.
Able to move fast under tight timelines (3-month launch).
Strong negotiation, relationship-building skills, and commercially driven.
