XREX is a Taipei-based neo fintech that helps cross-border merchants in emerging markets to overcome their USD shortage issues by leveraging blockchain. We believe in the current digital era, financial access should be fair, open, secure, and fast for all, and Blockchain is the right technology to achieve that goal.

We are looking for an Online Media Engagement Specialist who can cut through the noise and help reporters and editors gain a better understanding of the global crypto industry and about XREX. The candidate will be expected to work closely with the Public Relations team to shape the company’s message to both the domestic (Taiwan) stakeholders as well as the international audiences. You are expected to help strategize and implement our overall communications and public relations goals.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about telling stories about financial inclusion, digital finance, emerging technologies, and cross-border payment. The person will also work with journalists, editors, thought leaders, and influencers and provide them with materials and content relevant to the company’s mission.

You will:
- Use various digital tools to browse through different channels and databases to connect with relevant journalists in the industry
- Generate eye-catching and timely English and Chinese content for PR, marketing, branding, and media outreach purposes
- Build and maintain an active ongoing relationship with reporters, editors, and thought leaders
- Help formulate PR strategies and plan media campaigns to build brand awareness and familiarity among our target audience
- Stay on top of the latest events, trends, regulations, and news
- Strengthens the company position in the fintech industry worldwide
- Pay high attention to detail to ensure the quality of all marketing materials and communication

You will need to have (or to be):
- Native or near-native English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Native or near-native Chinese (speaking, reading, writing)
- Good writing skills
- Can think outside of the box
- Sophisticated research skills
- Familiar with social media and platforms
- Some past experience with PR, research, online networking, and social hacking
- Multitask, take directions and execute without too much hand-holding
