Job Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules based on business requirements.
- Design and implement backend logic using Python and Odoo framework standards.
- Customize Odoo core modules such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, HR, Manufacturing, and CRM.
- Develop and maintain QWeb reports, server actions, automated actions, and scheduled jobs.
- Create and maintain REST API / third-party integrations with external systems.
- Perform module migration and version upgrades (e.g., Odoo v14 → v17/v18).
- Optimize system performance, database queries, and server-side processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and deployment problems.
- Collaborate with Functional Consultants and Project Managers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure development follows best practices and clean coding standards.
- Prepare technical documentation and support UAT/testing processes.
- Support deployment, maintenance, and post-go-live activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 to 3+ years of experience in Odoo development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Odoo Framework.
- Experience with PostgreSQL database management and query optimization.
- Good understanding of Odoo ORM, MVC architecture, and module structure.
- Experience developing custom modules and extending existing Odoo applications.
- Familiar with XML, QWeb, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS within Odoo environment.
- Experience with API integrations (REST, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC).
- Understanding of Linux server environments, Git version control, and deployment processes.
- Experience handling Odoo migration and version upgrades is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
